About Moxie

Founded and run by Academy Award-nominated and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Rory Kennedy and Emmy Award-nominated partner Mark Bailey, Moxie Films has been making groundbreaking, character-driven documentary films and series for over twenty-five years. With an eye toward exploring urgent issues of our time, the company has created a deep body of award-winning work, finding drama and truth in every corner of the human experience.

From the brutality of nature (The Volcano, Netflix) to the importance of family (Ethel, HBO); from heroic soldiers and civilians (Last Days in Vietnam, PBS) to disgraced cult leaders (The Synanon Fix, HBO), from troubled corporations (Downfall: The Case Against Boeing, Netflix) to infamous prisons (Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, HBO), Moxie's projects have been honored with scores of film festival invitations and dozens of awards. Its work has been featured on Netflix, HBO, PBS, National Geographic, Discovery Channel, A&E, MTV, TLC, and Lifetime Television, among others.
